Simply Castings™ Organic Fertilizer and Soil Amendment


Simply Castings™ pure earthworm castings are Mother Nature’s #1 choice for fertilizing. It is a complete organic fertilizer. They are environmentally safe for all plants, animals and humans. There is no need to notify neighbours before using. There are no odors when spraying the Simply Castings Extract™.


USES AND APPLICATION GUIDELINES:

Established trees – Use ½ pound (2 cups) of Simply Castings™ for each 1 inch diameter of the tree. Top dress from the trunk to drip line, cover with mulch or compost & water. More rapid results will be seen if worked into top 4 inches and then mulched.
New lawns – for quick germination the night before seeding, add 5 lb of castings to the seed required for 100 sq.ft. of new lawn. Then apply another 5 lb of castings to the same area, rake in and water.
Sodding – add 4 lb of Simply Castings™ to the sod bed per 100 sq.ft. surface, apply sod and watch it grow. The sod seams disappear in a few weeks.
Extract Application – use ½ cup of Simply Castings/gal. If using a 1 or 5 gallon container, then shake by hand several times during the day and let sit. The next day siphon off the clear tea for foliate fertilizer or just shake and water with it. Also reduces white flies, molds, black spot and mildew. Excellent growth results with wood plants. Be sure to spray the under side of the leaves also.
250, 350, 500 & 1000 – gallon extractors available for fertigation, turf, farm, greenhouse and for nursery use. Beneficial microorganisms are available for use to enhance the microbial activity of the pure worm casting extract.

TRANSPLANT MIXES

The best transplant mix trees and bushes is a combination of a good quality compost that has been screened and cured for 6 months. Basic mix is 1 part Simply Castings™ to 2 parts cured compost. Use equal parts of each for doubling fruit and ornamental trees. Higher concentrations of castings may be used on bare root fruit trees to reduce the height of the trunk to bring the fruit closer to ground level for hand picking.
For transplanting woody plants like roses and shrubs mix 1 part Simply Castings™ to 2 parts of compost or organic peat. Surround the newly dug hole with mixture, spread roots over mound of mixture in the hole. Cover & water well to eliminate air pockets.
After transplanting, top dress surface with pure Simply Castings™ and cover with mulch or compost. This helps retain the surface moisture. You will see dramatic results shortly after transplanting. Use 10 to 20% Simply Castings™ to all types of specialty seedling or potting mixes.
It will not burn or harm any plants. It almost eliminates all loss of seedlings due to transplant shock. Simply Castings™ can be used in any or all transplanting mixes.
They contain AUXINS, growth hormones for plant roots and free living nitrogen fixing bacteria.
They have no odors and can be used directly from the bag on both indoor and outdoor plants. Trees and other plants will not show transplant shock and will become draught resistant if they don’t get watered regular.

HOUSE PLANTS & GARDENING

House Plants – top dress with ¼ to ½ inch of Simply Castings™ pure earthworm castings. Repeat once or twice a year as needed. Once every year or two just pull the plant out of the pot and shake the loose soil off or if root bound cut the bottom off. Add enough worm castings to bottom as needed for pot, top dress with worm castings and water in. Add ¼ cup of worm castings to a 2 liter plastic bottle, shake well and use to water plants.

GARDENING GUIDLINES

Potato – place a handful of pure worm castings in each hill.
Seeds – line furrow with worm castings, place seeds as directed, cover with pure worm castings, use 1 x 4 board to pack furrow and then water.
Six packs of tomatoes, peppers, eggplant, etc – place handful of pure worm castings in each hole, place plant, top dress and water. Top dress with one cup of pure worm castings per plant to set fruit.

CASTINGS VERSES CHEMICAL FERTILIZERS

Simply Castings™ is approved by OMRI (Organic Materials Review Institute) as an organic fertilizer for use by organically certified growers. It promotes a healthy soil food web and helps retain moisture. It holds the moisture in the root zone while allowing the excess to drain away. The sustained release action keep the nutrients from being leached away. The plants ARE NOT pH dependant to absorb 100% of the nutrients.
